We recommend having wedding color(s) situated, as this is helpful as we plan the types of flowers/greenery that would coordinate with your theme. However, this is NOT a requirement; in fact, we can still give you a quote without specific color(s).

We recommend that you have an idea of your wedding day vibe. (The flowers for a chic, elegant wedding vibe are much different than a bold, moody vibe).

You do not need to have your colors situated before we meet, but it helps plan the types of flowers as your wedding date approaches.

Wedding flowers have many variables that affect the overall cost, but wedding flowers are typically 10% - 15% of your total wedding budget. However, if you want abundant wedding flowers that are impactful and make a statement, some couples choose to allocate 20% - 30% of their total wedding budget to flowers.

For example, if you had an overall wedding budget of $50,000:

10% - 15% = $5,000 - $7,500 Floral Budget

20% - 30% = $10,000 - $15,000 Floral Budget

There is not a specific timeline that you have to follow to plan your wedding flowers, but please note that we try to limit our weddings to 1-2 per weekend to provide our couples the best experience. Because of this, our calendar fills up quickly!

Most couples book their wedding flowers about 6 months - 1 year before their wedding (in fact, this is what we recommend).

Some couples prefer a longer planning time (18 months - 2 years prior). Others plan their wedding flowers less than 3 months before their big day.

Great question, but it truly depends on what you want your wedding flowers to achieve:

1. Are you looking for your wedding flowers to include every person involved in your big day?

2. Or are you looking for floral elements that make an impressive statement at your wedding venue?

3. Or are you looking for a combination of both?

Generally speaking, the wedding party receives flowers, but you can involve many more people with floral pieces. Here's a comprehensive list with some personal floral ideas.

We recommend keeping it simple. If you involve people outside the wedding party, the number of personal flowers increases quickly. Remember this is YOUR big day. The ALL or NONE notion is typically the default when deciding on personal flowers.

Our opinion: minimize the personal flowers and opt for something more impactful and noticeable as a statement on your wedding day. (Here's what we mean: 10 family member boutonnieres aren't as impactful as a welcome sign floral piece that all your guests see).

This depends. Do you need both? No, but there is a sense of cohesiveness to a wedding if the ceremony flowers coordinate with the reception flowers. Sometimes it can feel a little disconnected if a wedding ceremony is floral heavy and then there are no flowers at the reception OR if the ceremony flowers don't match or coordinate with the reception flowers/greenery (for this reason, we discourage mixing fresh flowers and DIY silk flowers/greenery).

For a wedding to maintain a sense of cohesiveness, there should be coordinating floral elements in both the ceremony and reception space. A ceremony space could have a lush floral backdrop paired with simple flowers that mimic or match the flowers from the ceremony at the reception; this remains cohesive with a mixture of large and smaller pieces. Some, not all, ceremony pieces are dual purpose and can be used BOTH at the ceremony and the reception. Why? Not all floral elements easily transfer from ceremony to reception. In the planning process, we can help provide floral element(s) options that are dual purpose (which can help stretch a budget and create impact in both spaces).

We do not offer DIY packages, nor do we provide silk alternatives. Here's WHY:

We understand that some couples choose to DIY their wedding flowers to save on costs. However, in our experience, saving on cost = spending in time. What we mean by this is even though there is a cost savings, you "pay" in other ways:

1. Many couples underestimate the time required for DIY wedding flowers. The time necessary to research, source, plan, and create all the wedding flowers takes time from the overall wedding planning and coordination.

2. With DIY fresh flowers, be mindful that you will research, source, order, pick up, and manage the flowers/greenery during the craziness of wedding week. Additionally, you will clean, process, and ensure all the blooms are at their prime. Then, you will maintain the freshness (with refrigeration) until wedding day.

3. For silk alternatives, the cost is equal to or higher than fresh flowers. Premium silk flowers are a much higher quality and more realistic than the plastic or cheap alternatives.
